Prairie Meadow by Natural Born Quilter is set to be released in September 2021 and we have all original patterns by NBQ, Jason Bieber and more available as kit pre orders. All Prairie Meadow pre orders will be entered to win a FQ bundle of Stag and Thistle in September 2021. Stag and Thistle - NBQ's first line was a huge success and we have shipped kits around the world. We are out of stock for several bolts from Stag and Thistle and cannot make anymore kits unfortunately. We already have pre orders coming in, so don't wait too long if you know you want one reserved. This collection has a coordinating 108" wideback cotton fabric that is also available to add to your pre orders for each kit.

A few months ago, I was asked to be part of the launch for the new line Prairie Meadow and I decided to design my own pattern. I call it Prairie Wildflower. I grew up on the prairies in Canada and my family were farmers in rural Saskatchewan. So the wildlife and flowers in this collection really reminded me of my upbringing and my grandparents homeland along the South Saskatchewan River.

Below if the pattern I created and I am just putting the final pieces together now. The quilt top should be ready any day, sty tuned on Instagram. I have also been filming a video tutorial on how to make each block. The pattern includes some great opportunities for fussy cutting a few of the blocks and some foundation paper piecing.

Like this new thread cutter from the Gypsy Quilter company that is awesome for chain piecing! I have the older version of this and use it so often! Its a very handy tool to have in your sewing room. Before I had one, I used to clamp an open rotary cutter to my table and run my threads over it to cut when chain piecing! Extremely dangerous and not recommended! LOL
